About the role
We are looking for a highly capable Senior Project Accountant to provide our project management team with accounting/finance support. You will manage the junior project accountants and oversee the reporting & finance requirements for the construction/development arm of Westbow.

What you’ll be doing
• Managing the project accounting team
• Ensuring the below monthly tasks are happening on time & focusing on improving the quality/efficiency of each process:
o Cost/profit review of projects
o Cash forecasts for projects
o Bank Draws for projects
o WIP reports & other accounting entries
o Monthly financial statement reporting
• Reporting to management on monthly financial results (aggregate of above monthly reports + WCG as an operating company)
• Analyzing and modeling potential development acquisitions
• Driving the finance application process including (but not limited to) forecasting & modelling for banks and managing Jr.’s through the application process
• Working with operations on identifying & implementing methods to improve cost management, and revenue growth
• Assisting in identifying & problem solving for “challenging” projects that require strategic pivots
• Assisting in the implementation & improvement of software to assist with financial aspects of operations (TEAM, Revit, Viewpoint, Prophix etc.)
• Leading or participating in value added ad hoc projects, including process improvements, implementation, and analysis of KPIs and implementation of technology solutions
What we’re looking for
• Accounting, Economics or Finance Bachelor’s degree is required
• CPA candidate is preferred
• 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting-related jobs is required
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multiple departments
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong at problem solving and strong analytical skills
• Excellent technical written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel ability
• Creative and innovative
• Confident in presenting reports and analysis
