About the role

Reporting to the Director of Development, the Construction Project Manager will be responsible for the strategic direction of residential projects and their alignment with organizational objectives. Your primary responsibility is to organize and oversee stakeholders, to manage project plans, timelines, and budgets. You will present project initiatives to senior executives and ensure that projects are executed with the required quality and safety standards.

What you’ll be doing

  • Developing project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with the senior leadership team and internal stakeholders
  • Developing full-scale project plans, timelines, budgets and reporting to senior leadership project milestones, deliverables, risks, and issues
  • Estimating the resources and participants required to achieve project goals and working with leadership to properly staff the project team
  • Ensuring proper financial management of the project, working alongside the Finance and Accounting teams to ensure cashflows are in line with project goals
  • Ensuring that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
  • Aligning project team members to ensure that designs, budgets, and schedules are well coordinated and communicated
  • Assist in procurement processes, including materials, equipment selection, contract negotiation, project insurance and creation of RFP’s
  • Assist in developing and enforcing safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment onsite
  •  Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, identify issues and implement corrective actions as needed

 

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years of residential Construction Project Management experience
  • Knowledge of project management principles, methods, and techniques
  • Post Secondary education in Project Management, Construction, Engineering, or related field is an asset
  • Proficient with computers and software tools

Salary pay range: $100,000 -$140,000
