About the role

Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, the Coordinator is responsible for supporting the People & Culture team with a wide range of Human Resources activities.  As a support team member for the Westbow Group of Companies you will be a champion of our company culture and values and will support our goal to link our people to our culture through strengthening our teams.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working closely with the local and remote People & Culture team
  • Supporting the company’s HR activities such as employee administration, policy support, recruitment and event planning
  • Working alongside the People & Culture team and supporting daily administrative tasks
  • Working with and maintaining the HRIS system and completing employee updates
  • Employee and Manager correspondence
  • Assisting with employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Supporting People & Culture initiatives including culture related events
  • Supporting projects and other duties as required

What we’re looking for

  • At least 1 year of recent experience working in a similar role in Human Resources
  • Knowledge of Guatemala HR practices and willingness to learn Canadian standards is an asset
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written
  • Intermediate level proficiency with the MS Office Suite
  • Post Secondary education in a Business or Human Resources program is considered an asset
